Silicon Engines Adds Power. Introducing Andy Mehta.

    April 16, 2014

Silicon Engines has hired professional engineer Andy Mehta as Vice President of Design Services.  Mehta is an accomplished leader and hardware engineer of numerous appliance, cellular phone, telematics and industrial control products and is a welcome addition at Silicon Engines.  He will manage the strategic direction, expansion and operation of Silicon Engines’ design services division, which has been a partner in developing thousands of specialized products over its 25 year history.

“In the course of my career, I have worked with Andy on numerous projects and have always been impressed not only with his technical skills, but also his project leadership capabilities,” said Kerry Berland, President of Silicon Engines.  “Andy is an innovative project lead. He brings the right mix of technical experience and people skills and we’re excited about the ideas he has already proposed for the Design Services group.”

“I am fortunate to be joining such a client-focused and highly-regarded company as Silicon Engines,” said Mehta.  “I look forward to working with the design service engineers to help contribute to SE’s clients’ success in bringing their projects to market.”

Mehta joins Silicon Engines from amVare Technologies, an engineering firm he founded which provided hardware and software development for appliance controls, automotive products and LED lighting products using 8-bit and 16-bit ST and Microchip processors.  Prior to amVare, he established a Program Management Office at Magellan Navigation Systems and spent almost nine years at Motorola Display Systems and Appliance Controls.
